1) CheckBoxes are either "1" or "0".
-If you enter "1", the box will be checked

2) Date Formats are "MM/DD/YYYY".

3) Any "9.99" indicates a money amount field. Enter "0" if the amount is $0

4) "Agent" record is optional; if you are an reporting agent, your will need to enter the information.

5) "940ScheduleA" is optional (reporting the state subjects for credit reduction).
-if "Line1b" is "1", you must provide at least two "ScheduleA" records.
-if "Line2" is "1", "you must provide one ScheduleA" record.

"ScheduleA" must include every state in which you were required to pay state UI tax.

6) Efile PIN:
For business taxpayer, PIN is 10-digits assigned by the IRS for 941 and 940 e-File.
For reporting agent, PIN is 5-digits

DO NOT mistake Efile PIN with the "4-digit pin" you use for EFTPS (a separate pin).

7) "IsAmendedReturn" must be "0" at this time, IRS currently does not support 940 correction.
-If you need to correct the 940, you can download the form from IRS website (www.irs.gov), prepare, and mail to IRS.
-IRS mailing address can be located in the 940 instruction!

8) "BusinessType" can be one of following:
Individual - "INDI"
Corporation - "CORP"
Sole Proprietor - "SOLE"
Partnership - "PART"
Estate - "ESTA"
Trust and Fiduciaries - "TRUS"
Government Entity - "GOVE"
Exempt Organization - "EXEM"

9) Line 13a: FUTA tax deposit for "prior year";
Line 13b: FUTA tax deposit for "this year";
-When you print the 940 PDF, we will provide the sum of both line 13a and line 13b
